Healthy Holiday Peppermint Hot Cocoa Recipe

Indulge in this creamy, holiday drink that’s made with your health in mind. Made with clean ingredients and no added sugar, it’s the perfect guilt-free treat for cozy winter nights!

Ingredients:

    2 cups milk of choice (dairy or plant-based)

    2–3 squares of DÄT Dark Chocolate (sweetened with dates, no added sugar!)

    1 teaspoon peppermint extract

    A pinch of sea salt

Whipped Cream (optional):

    1/2 cup can of coconut cream

Instructions:

  1. In a small pot, heat the milk over medium heat. Add the dark chocolate, peppermint extract, and a pinch of salt.


  1. Stir constantly for about 5 minutes, allowing the chocolate to melt fully and combine with the milk.


  1. While the hot cocoa is warming, whip the coconut cream with a blender or frother until light and fluffy.


  1. Once the hot cocoa is ready, pour it into your favorite mug. Top with the whipped coconut cream with a frother or blender and garnish with chocolate shavings or melted chocolate drizzle.
