Protein Powder: The Real Story Behind the Blend

Why it took us 2 years to make the cleanest protein powder on the market with 100% ingredient transparency.

“When I set out to create NUTSÓLA’s first Protein Powder, I thought the answer to creaminess was simple: coconut milk powder.

But after two years of testing, and a large portion of that time spent trying to source a truly clean coconut milk powder, I I learned it wasn’t that simple.

We discovered that nearly every coconut milk powder on the market that we sourced contained additives like maltodextrin, even when the ingredient label claimed otherwise. 

Some brands listed “coconut milk powder” with no mention of maltodextrin at all, which raised some serious concerns about transparency.

A few suppliers offered cleaner versions, but they required long lead times and had very short shelf lives, making them almost impossible to use for production at scale.

So instead of forcing it, we did what we always do when something doesn’t feel right: we went back to the kitchen.

After dozens of tests and reformulations, we discovered something better:
Our blend didn’t need coconut milk powder at all.

Once we got the balance of our real ingredients just right, the creaminess happened naturally.

That’s the magic of doing things the long way. No shortcuts. No fillers. No fake “flavor systems.” Just real food that works as is.

Believe me, it wasn’t an easy journey, but it was worth every moment.

The result? A protein powder that’s smooth, gut-friendly, and simple, because clean shouldn’t be complicated.
